Roller Race Wrap Up
I think I proved Simon Jackson's theory about getting faster the more you ride the rollers by being the exception to this rule! The guy timing my coughlafying run had to be woken up to stop the clock.
Bugger it, even without qualifying, I had a huge laugh last night cheering until hoarse at the riders I knew, especially Scarlett who made it to the final and almost won save for the last 50-100m!! Damn! Drat! Blast! Job well done

Don't buy Endura socks
I don't give negative product reviews very often.. oh yeah.. that's because I don't give any product reviews very often!
Here's one: Don't buy Endura socks (I got mine from Wiggle). They are too damn thin. I wore a hole through mine in a single ride from London to Brighton (~80k). The other pairs now have holes in them from a few commutes.

Twatster.. rides!

Built this up yesterday after Dale got me some Fuji bars and a cog that was surely salvaged from the Titanic's engine room!
It's brakeless at the moment so it's only done a couple of nearby shopping runs but I have a brake ready to fit. The cog is slipping (not good brakeless!) so I need to show it some hippy love (that's 95kg + gravity + anger + muscle power) before smacking the lock ring down with something (the ancient cog has a sticky-outty lip that stops me using my DA lockring tool - doh!).
Initial thoughts: It's low. The saddle to bar drop is greater than on all my other bikes so I can't see myself in the drops much. Even with kinda heavy wheels it's fscking light! It's ugly (although Mal seems to like it) and it should blend in with commuter bikes at work, which was the main aim for this machine. With the cog slipping and no brakes I've not ridden it hard yet but I reckon it's gonna be pretty damn quick. Slave to the NJS and 531 need to embrace the teknology! :)

FixedGearLondon MASH Almost Official Premiere
Thanks to
fixedgearlondon.com for putting on the Almost Official Premiere of
MASH.
Surprised at the turnout actually - seemed to be loads of people there. The bike stack in the hallway was certainly full of lovely bike bling! Can't wait to see pics :)
Enjoyed the flick (you can see some of it on the
mashsf.com site). Bummed I had to bail early. FGL Headquarters are quite close to work so I might have to pop in for some important err "part acquisition" :)
